Absolutely love the seafood here. I'm addicted to the oysters, and the tempura prawns. The cockles are alway amazing and love the muscles as well, not to mention the cray fish. Alway a friendly welcome, would highly recommend and the prices are spot on.

Drove by, saw the stall, parked by side road and got a cup for a quick snack. Very nice and tasty and reasonably priced. Will definitely come by again and recommend to anyone driving by as it is very well positioned facing the main road with a quiet side road with many spaces to park up.

Update It’s refreshing to see that business owns do appreciate and act on the reviews we leave. Visited Barneys again this time I am very pleased to say the atmosphere has improved and the eels were superb. Very meaty and absolutely no sign of a tail or similar. On the subject of prices they seem to be the same. Which at least means they haven’t gone up. Massive improvements yes I will definitely be back. Saves me going to the Warren Wood which is slightly more expensive and not as good well done all Barneys Seafood Stall @ the Sultan (ph) I bought a large bowl of jellied eels. Which were nice, but at £9 a bowl I would have thought that they wouldn’t have put quite so many tails parts with very little meat on (5) in one serving. At almost £1 a piece I would expect to only get the body of the eel. The price of other items on the stall was also quite high. Which in today’s England is pretty much the nor’. I have no idea as to the margins they make. I can’t help but feel if their prices were more competitive and affordable more people would visit the stall. It would be quite easy to spend £40-60 without having your fill. It’s incredibly sad but stalls like these will much like the red phone box become a thing of the past.
